One United Lancaster is proud to announce it has won six Keystone Media Awards in 2024, its largest total to date.
Overseen by the Pennsylvania NewsMedia Association, the Keystone Media Awards honor journalism “that consistently provides relevance, integrity, and initiative in serving readers and audiences.”
One United Lancaster’s awards, received for its reporting in 2023, are as follows:
• News Beat Reporting, 2nd Place: To Tim Stuhldreher, for his reporting on homelessness in Lancaster County;
• Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Honorable Mention: To Kyle Gamble, Maddie Seiler, Tim Stuhldreher and Max Weidman, for the following portfolio of articles:
- Town hall engages community to reinvigorate movement for racial equity
- Advocating for all those who are marginalized: A Q&A with Joanne Carroll (video)
- Brown Skin Girl: A Q&A with Lancaster artist Keisha Finnie
- Advocates discuss ways to support transgender, nonbinary youth
- Unity Cup to showcase soccer teams representing Lancaster’s immigrant, refugee communities
