The African American Cultural Alliance's annual parade stepped off at 1 p.m. sharp on Saturday from King Elementary School.
More than 45 organizations and 1,000 people took part, marching through Lancaster's southeast neighborhood to Reservoir Park. Residents along the route cheered them on, capturing pictures and videos.
The event is the only active annual parade in Lancaster. It is a headline event of the African American Cultural Alliance's annual festival, which wrapped up its 10th year on Saturday.
