Eleven local nonprofits are expanding initiatives to promote health, education, economic security, equity and more as part of the second United Way of Lancaster County Level Up & Launch grant cohort.
The Level Up & Launch initiative aims to encourage projects that are innovative and scalable and support United Way’s goal of increasing community equity and reducing barriers to success. A selection committee chose this year’s cohort from among 28 applicants.
They received a total of $250,000 in initial grants and are now in the process of raising additional funding. United Way will match what each organization raises, dollar-for-dollar, through Oct. 31, up to the amount of its original grant. The program thus has the potential to raise up to $750,000 in all.
This week, One United Lancaster is profiling the 2023 Level Up & Launch recipients.
Links will be added throughout the week to the list below. Click each one to read about the organization and watch a video about its funded initiative.
