Women United seeking health-related grant proposals

Women United has begun accepting applications for its 2023-24 grant cycle.

The group is making $40,000 available to Lancaster County organizations engaged in women’s health initiatives. Grants of $10,000 to $20,000 will be awarded for use beginning July 1.

Women’s United is an affinity group of United Way of Lancaster County. Its annual grants are made in the areas of health, education and financial stability. Each category is prioritized once every three years over a three-year cycle.

In 2022, Women’s United awarded $60,000, granting $30,000 apiece to Patients R Waiting’s Diversifying Doulas Initiative and YWCA Lancaster’s New Choices career development program.
