Earlier this month, the Lancaster Conservancy announced that Fritz Schroeder will take over as president and CEO from Phil Wenger, who has led the organization for the past eight years.
Schroeder has been with the conservancy for 11 years. He founded Lancaster Water Week and, as senior vice president of community impact, doubled the conservancy’s funding from local business.
Wenger will remain actively involved on a part-time basis as a member of the organization’s development team.
One United Lancaster recently interviewed both men about the Conservancy and its work.
