Due to a statewide delay in delivering 2023 Farmers Market Nutrition Vouchers, the Lancaster County Office of Aging will not be handing them out until later this summer.
The office had originally planned to hand out the vouchers at various kickoff events in June. Those events have now been cancelled. The office said in a statement that it will announce new dates, but not until it has the vouchers in hand.
It hopes to have them available by the end of July, it said, but “at this point there is no delivery date guaranteed.”
The delay is due to a mix-up involving the printing vendor, the office said.

The $50 vouchers can be redeemed at participating farmers markets and are available to income-eligible Pennsylvanians aged 60 and up.
