Virtual workshops scheduled for new Pa. unemployment system

PA Office of Unemployment

A slate of virtual workshops from the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry are now available to help Pennsylvanians get acclimated to its new unemployment compensation system.

The department created 24 virtual workshops to help clients, employers and third-party administrators get ready for the June transfer of the unemployment program to a new computer system.

Each workshop is aimed at teaching viewers how log into the new system; view payment information, appeals, updates and frequently asked questions; and more for the new system.

There are three workshops scheduled this week for claimants (a fourth took place at 1 p.m. Monday):

  • Tuesday, May 18 at 10 a.m. in English
  • Saturday, May 22 at 2 p.m. in Spanish
  • Saturday, May 22 at 3:30 p.m. in English

Workshops will be recorded and posted on the Labor and Industry website for those who aren't able to tune in live.

The department has published a comprehensive set of user guides and video tutorials on the new system, available here. Questions about it can be submitted here.
