Encouraged by the decline of Covid-19 cases, Penn State Health has revised its guidelines for visitors, effective today.
Adult patients at emergency departments and clinics may now have one family or support person with them per stay.
Previous guidance for inpatients and outpatients remains in place, the health system said: Generally, adults may have one family or support person with them per stay, and pediatric patients may have two.
Patients' companions must submit to screenings and wear masks at all times. Those with Covid-19 symptoms will not be allowed to enter.
