The third edition of the One World Festival is set to take place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. this Sunday, Sept. 8, at the Alumni Sports & Fitness Center at Franklin & Marshall College.
The annual festival brings together an array of groups and individuals who embody Lancaster’s diverse heritage for a day of music, stage performances, crafts, food and more. Organizations representing European, Asian, African and Latin American communities are all taking part.
“We truly believe that this year’s event will be a wonderful learning opportunity, will broaden our knowledge of people, and will create a sense of universal belonging,” the One World Festival Committee said in a welcome message.
Registration is free but is required for entry. To pre-register, click here. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or adult family member.
The first One World Festival took place in early September 2022 at the Alumni Sports & Fitness Center. For the second edition, organizers partnered with the Lancaster County Community Foundation to stage the festival as part of Extra Give, the annual day of fundraising held on the Friday before Thanksgiving.
For its third year, the event has returned to its previous venue and timing. The Community Foundation and Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health are co-presenting sponsors.
