Update: Age-Friendly Lancaster ‘Lunch & Learn’ canceled

Update, Dec. 15: This event has been canceled due to Thursday’s weather. Individuals who registered will be sent an invitation to the next Lunch & Learn, scheduled for Feb. 28.

Age-Friendly Lancaster is hosting a free “Lunch & Learn” session from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday for people interested in learning more about opportunities for intergenerational connection.

The event will take place at The Loop, the Lancaster LGBTQ+ Coalition’s community hub at 117 E. Chestnut St., Lancaster. All ages are welcome and encouraged to attend.

The nonprofits LGBTQ+ Coalition, Music for Everyone and Blackbirds Environmental Justice will make presentations on their offerings. There also will be a discussion of volunteer opportunities, including input on what new opportunities community members might like to see made available.

The “Lunch & Learn” session is the second in a series of four, with the remaining two tentatively scheduled to take place in 2023 on Tuesday, Feb. 28, and Thursday, April 6, respectively.
