Local LGBTQ+ organization Lititz Chooses Love will hold a grand opening celebration from 4 to 8 p.m. Dec. 15 to introduce its new space.

The drop-in event will include food, photos with Santa Claus and a chance to see Lititz Chooses Love's new digs.

Lititz Chooses Love is being given access to a building at 1242 Newport Road owned by the church next door, St. Paul Lutheran Church in Penryn. As reported by LNP newspaper, the church has offered to share the space with Lititz Chooses Love: It has been used as a food pantry and occasional rentals but is otherwise vacant.

Formed this summer, Lititz Chooses Love is in the process of incorporating as a 501(c)3 nonprofit.

The Lancaster LGBTQ+ Coalition also has announced plans for a community hub: It is to be in downtown Lancaster and will offer an array of health care, housing assistance and other services.
