As Lancaster city gears up to develop its comprehensive plan, it is holding three events this week to garner public input.

A comprehensive plan is a long-term framework for a city that sets priorities and guides decisions on land planning, infrastructure, spending and more. Lancaster's plan has not been updated since 1993.
All three events will offer opportunities to learn about the process and how members of the public can engage with it. The schedule is as follows:
- Virtual Public Meeting: 6 p.m. tonight (Wed., Sept. 29) on Zoom (to join, click here)
- Ice Cream Social: 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 30, at Crystal Park, 525 First St.
- First Friday Celebration: Drop-in from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Penn Square.
