United Way of Lancaster County is celebrating the debut of its downtown Lancaster location with an open house next week.
It will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 31, at Landis Place on King, 245 W. King St., Lancaster. The free event will include hors d’oeuvres, beverages, networking and a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 5:15 p.m.
United Way is leasing space at Landis Place on King, Landis Communities’ 55+ senior living high-rise that opened earlier this year.
The venue consists of two rooms: One will serve as a hub for VITA, United Way’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance service, while the other will serve double duty as flexible office space for United Way staff and as an event space available for gatherings hosed by United Way, nonprofits or other community groups.
