The event, Unity Fest, will take place from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday at the Warehouse District Beer Garden, 595 N. Charlotte St., Lancaster. It will feature live music, food trucks, raffles, yard games and more. Admission is free. Rural City Brewing Co. will be selling “Reamstown Palesner” beer, with a portion of the proceeds donated to United Way.

The following Monday, Sept 11, launches United Way’s Week of Caring, expanded from the Day of Caring held in previous years. Volunteer events are scheduled every day through Saturday, including cleanups, landscaping, painting and food sorting. More than 400 volunteers are expected to take part.

“We are excited to expand our annual Day of Caring into a Week of Caring this year, Volunteer Center Director at United Way of Lancaster County, Joel Janisewski said. “… Each volunteer matters, and together they will make an impact that benefits our entire community.”
