The second cohort of United Way of Lancaster County’s Project Blueprint has graduated.
8 individuals representing 4 nonprofit organizations, spent every Friday of the last six weeks engaging in training geared towards improving workplace practices and diversifying boards. The trainings were led by United Way of Lancaster County staff board members, and Project Blueprint task force.

The individuals were recognized at United Way of Lancaster County’s office on Friday. For the last session the participants were tasked with creating an action plan to present to the cohort and United Way of Lancaster County representatives.
According to Joel Janisewski, head of Project Blueprint and Vice President of Impact at United Way of Lancaster County, the action plans were developed in the second half the training sessions for the organizations to address key issues, improve its board, and enhance recruitment efforts.
“We were excited to hear their presentations and where they’re going. The day was a great celebration of all their investment and engagement.”
The graduates received certificates and pins presented by United Way of Lancaster County staff members Joel Janisewski and Kate Zimmerman, President and CEO.
