LG Health offers child vaccination clinic Thursday

Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health will offer a free childhood vaccination clinic from 2 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 5, at its Susquehanna Family Medicine office, 1159 River Road, Marietta.

Individuals 18 or under who have no insurance or who are covered by Medicaid are eligible. Children covered through CHIP do not qualify.

Vaccinations are required by the state Department of Health to attend school. To receive vaccination, children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Participants must provide up-to-date vaccination records.

Tetanus and mumps-measles-rubella (MMR) vaccines will be available for uninsured adults. There will also be an opportunity to schedule children’s physicals and wellness exams.

LG Health offers immunizations at no cost through the ChildProtect program. Support comes from partners including the Lancaster County Immunization Coalition, Pennsylvania Immunization Coalition and Pennsylvania’s chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
