• Lancaster Conservancy expands acquiring over 50 acres in York County: Lancaster Conservancy announced it will acquire the, 56-acre property, known as the Historic Hellam Preserve, located in both Hallam Borough and Hellam Township in York County. Lancaster Conservancy explained the Graham family donated the preserve. The preserve will be renamed the Ingrid Graham Historic Hellam Nature Preserve in honor of Ingrid Graham. The conservancy will officially acquire the property sometime in 2025, and will create a management plan that will focus on the preserves historical and natural resources. (Source: ABC 27)

• Tenfold Temporary Shelter opens back up: Due to the cold blue that was called for the week tenfold has decided to re-open its temporary shelter. CEO Shelby Nauman explained the shelter has 40 beds set up and is open for anyone who needs assistance. (Source: WGAL)

• Manheim Township School District investigates its lacrosse team: Manheim Township School district will reassess how it investigates  complaints after receiving a Safe2Say tip last year about behavior that took place while the boys lacrosse team was on a trip to Ohio in April. The districts investigation led to no findings of sexual abuse. Lancaster County District Attorney Heather Adams said her office is examining whether adults followed the proper procedures with a Safe2Say tip. The district confirmed the lacrosse coach, Coach Dan Lyons, sent out an email to the team ahead of an anticipated newspaper article that ran over the weekend. Lyons explained in the email that the article may raise concerns, but the safety and well being of the students is the top priority. (Source: WGAL)

• Shelter-in-place due to Montgomery County fire continues on Tuesday: Days after a four-alarm fire devastated SPS Technologies, a manufacturer of aerospace parts, residents near the factory are still being told to shelter in place. Schools in the area are closed, with a nearby high school being used as an evacuation shelter. No injuries from the fire were reported. The continuing shelter-in-place order is due to air quality concerns. The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection is watching the air quality in the area. (Source: WGAL) 

State-owned universities seek increased funding from state: Leaders from the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education met with state lawmakers in Harrisburg Tuesday to request higher funding for their universities. The leaders are asking for an increase of 6.5%, bringing their budget up to $661.1 million. The leaders cited the need for the funding, specifically to allow them to freeze tuition at its current level for another year. State lawmakers seemed receptive to the idea, despite Republican opposition to Gov. Josh Shapiro’s budget. (Source: LNP)
