• Planners review Belmont Crossing development in Manheim Twp.: The Manheim Township planning commission is reviewing a proposed 66-unit subdivision, across form Belmont Crossing, and is expected to make a recommendation next month. Despite residents’ concerns about traffic, the commission believes rejecting the project could lead to a lawsuit for the township. ( Source: LNP )

• Retreat Behavioral Health’s Akron buys new facility: Wednesday, Lancaster County Judge Jeffrey A. Conrad, approved the sale of Retreat Behavioral Health’s outpatient facility in Akron for $3.25 million. The sale is part of efforts to pay off creditors after Retreat closed last June, resulting in nearly nearly 650 employees losing their jobs. ( Source: LNP )

• Franklin County property reassessments: In Pa., counties are not required by state to reassess property values regularly, leading to many to delays due to high cost involved. Franklin County has not not reassessed its properties since 1961, the longest delay in the state. ( Source: ABC 27 )

• Legal weed debate is starting up again in Pa.: The Pennsylvania Capitol remains undecided on legalizing marijuana this but lawmakers are proposing different models of regulations. State Reps. Dan Frankel (D., Allegheny) and Rick Krajewski (D., Philadelphia) want Pennsylvania to create state-owned cannabis stores, they have released a memo seeking support from lawmakers but have not introduced the bill yet.
