• Pa. Supreme Court declines to hear mail-ballot case:  It’s too close to the election to issue a fresh ruling on whether ballot envelopes must be dated, the court said. Its action means envelopes must be signed and dated. (Source: Capital-Star)

• Local citizens weigh in on democracy at ‘deliberative forum’: A representative sampling of local voters agreed overwhelmingly that Pennsylvania should expand automatic voter registration, keep the option of voting by mail and allow “notice and cure.” They split evenly on whether to require voter ID.
