The Lancaster County Office of Aging is inviting eligible seniors to apply for this year’s Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition vouchers.

Eligible participants can receive $50 in vouchers to buy fruits and vegetables at participating farmers’ markets. The eligibility requirements are as follows:

  • Age 60 as of Dec. 31, 2024;
  • Reside in Lancaster County;
  • Gross household income under $27,861 for one person or $37,814 for a couple.

Seniors who live in personal care or nursing homes are ineligible.

Beginning this year, the program is mail-only. Applications must be mailed to the Office of Aging, and vouchers will be mailed out: Seniors will not be able to pick them at Senior Centers.

The office will begin distributing vouchers on June 1. They are first-come, first-served. Distribution will continue through Sept 15 or until all have been sent out.

The application form is here (PDF). Print it out, complete it and mail it to the Office of Aging:
