This election season, large numbers of people are making their way to the Lancaster County Elections Office — to register to vote, to vote early, to return a mail-in ballot and so on.
To accommodate them, the office is increasing the days on which it offers extended hours, a practice it has adopted in the runup to each Election Day.
The office’s normal business hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. It is staying open over and above that as follows:
Extended Hours (Phase 1)

- Saturday, Oct. 19: 8 a.m. to noon
- Wednesday, Oct. 23, to Friday, Oct. 25: 5 to 7 p.m.
- Saturday, Oct. 26: 8 a.m. to noon
- Monday, Oct. 28: 5 to 7 p.m.
Extended Hours (Phase 2)

- Thursday, Oct. 31: 5 to 7 p.m.
- Friday, Nov. 1: 5 to 8 p.m.
- Saturday, Nov. 2: 8 a.m. to noon
