The Pennsylvania Tourism Office is doing its part to encourage Pennsylvanians to "stay home and stay safe" over the holidays.

The office on Wednesday unveiled "Holi-Stay PA," a compendium of Pennsylvania-related activities that can be enjoyed online.

They include virtual tours, a list of drive-through light shows, concerts, games, holiday recipes, a gift guide and online recipes.

Pennsylvania, like the rest of the United States, is contending with a coronavirus surge that threatens to overwhelm health systems. Officials for weeks have been urging households to keep to themselves over the holidays and forego gatherings that could further worsen the spread.

“2020 was a year unlike any other, and this initiative will help Pennsylvanians celebrate the holiday in a new way and create new traditions,” said Carrie Lepore, Deputy Secretary of Marketing, Tourism, & Film.
