As concerns grow about the Delta variant causing a rebound of Covid-19 cases and deaths, local nonprofits are continuing their efforts to vaccinate underserved and minority populations against the virus, with free vaccine clinics scheduled this weekend and next.

Union Community Care and Patients R Waiting, in partnership with the Lancaster branch of the NAACP, will hold vaccine clinics from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, July 17 and 18, at Crispus Attucks Community Center, 407 Howard Ave.

Next weekend the clinics will move to Clipper Magazine Stadium, 650 N. Prince St. The hours of operation will be the same: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, July 24 and 25.

Patients can pre-register at Healthequitylancaster.org; walk-ins are welcome as well.
