Monday, A symbolic ribbon cutting was held at VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) Central, 245 W King St. to welcome the 2024 tax season. VITA hosted representatives from United Way of Lancaster County and Fulton Bank, their biggest sponsor. The ribbon cutting announced the start of this year’s tax season. Last year’s tax season, VITA completed 10, 306 tax returns for the Lancaster County community.
United Way of Lancaster County representatives: President & CEO Kate Zimmerman, Vice President of Impact Joel Janisewski. VITA representatives: Director, Kim Maldonado, and VITA, Tax Law Manager, Ed Bowman. Fulton Bank representatives: Vice President of Commercial Banking, Monika Chap, Executive Vice President, Director of Business Banking, Phil Smith, Middle Market Banking Executive Kristy Heller, and Commercial Banking Executive, Andrew Gordon.

VITA, a program of United Way of Lancaster County, provides free income tax preparation to families and individuals making $70,000 or less. The program’s services are provided by IRS-certified volunteers.
