Senior Centers to provide extended hours due to heat

The Lancaster County Office of Aging has extended Senior Center hours to provide Lancaster County older adults a location to cool down during the extreme hot weather.

Lancaster County residents are encouraged to utilize air-conditioned facilities such as libraires, community and senior centers, schools, churches, and malls during high heat-index days to reduce the risk of heat related illness.

The following Senior Centers will have various extended hours from Tuesday, June 18, through Friday, June 21:

  • Columbia Senior Center – Columbia UM Church
    510 Walnut St., Columbia. (Ph: 717-684-4850)
    Tuesday & Thursday: 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Elizabethtown Area Senior Center
    70 S. Poplar St., Elizabethtown (Ph: 717-367-7984)
    Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: 9 a.m.- to 6 p.m.
  • Lititz Senior Center – Lititz United Methodist
    201 E. Market St., Lititz. (Ph: 717-626-2800)
    Wednesday & Thursday: 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Millersville Senior Center – St. Paul Lutheran Church
    222 N George St, Millersville. (Ph: 717-299-3943
    Tuesday: 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • Lancaster Neighborhood Senior Center

    Tuesday & Friday: 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Lancaster Rec Senior Center

  • Next Gen Senior Center
