The South Asian Association of Lancaster is holding its annual Diwali celebration this Saturday, Oct. 22, at the Wyndham Lancaster Resort & Convention Center, 2110 E. Lincoln Highway.
The evening begins at 5 p.m. and will feature music, dance performances an Indian banquet, an open dance floor with DJ, and more. For details and to purchase tickets, visit the organization’s website.
Tickets for SAAL members are $55 for adults, $45 for children under age 12; for non-members they are $70 and $60, respectively. Children aged 2 and under are free.
Diwali, the festival of lights, is celebrated by Hindus, Jains and Sikhs. It symbolizes the victory of good over evil and honors Lakshmi, the goddess of good fortune.
