Local activists to hold trans rights rally on Saturday

(Source: TRAN)

Local transgender advocates and their allies will hold a rally in Lancaster on Saturday in support of transgender and LGBTQ+ rights.

The rally will take place at 3 p.m. at Binns Park. It is hosted by the Trans Radical Activist Network, or TRAN, and is one of several such events planned across the U.S. as part of a National Day of Action.

Scheduled speakers locally include representatives from Act Up, Lititz Chooses Love, Bans Off Our Bodies, Put People First PA and Redeemers Lutheran Church.

Organizers said they will “share testimony and a call to action to fight for our human rights, from voting rights to healthcare and housing rights, the right to control our own bodies and living as our authentic selves.”
