LG Health seeks members for Community Advisory Board on health disparities

Lancaster General Health is forming a Community Advisory Board as part of its efforts to improve Black and Latino health.

LG Health is aiming to reduce racial and ethnic health disparities as part of its participation in Pennsylvania’s Hospital Quality Incentive Program, with a specific focus on diabetes and health disease.

The board will consist of 12 to 15 people. They will advise LG Health leaders on Black and Latino health and provide feedback on proposed interventions.

LG Health is looking for individuals who identify as Black, Latino or both. Participants must 18 or older and must be able to attend four evening meetings over the coming year.

The first meeting is April 26, followed by meetings in April, June, September and November.

LG Health will provide a meal, childcare for those who need it, and a $100 stipend per meeting.
