The Lancaster County Homelessness Coalition has issued a Code Blue for Monday Jan. 6 through Sunday Jan. 12. During a Code Blue advisory shelters are asked to increase their number of beds. A Code Blue is issued by the Lancaster County Housing and Redevelopment Authority as a way to alert shelter partners on weather threats that may impact unhoused individuals.
High winds are anticipated after after the snowstorm on Monday. Temperatures forecast to go into the 20’s with windchill hitting the single digits Tuesday through Friday.
