Grandview Church will host a panel discussion this weekend on "Christian Theologies of War & Peace."
It is planned for 3 p.m. Sunday at the church, 888 Pleasure Road in Manheim Township. Three panelists are scheduled to take part:
- Lee Barrett, professor of Systematic Theology, Lancaster Theological Seminary
- Gene Miller, retired professor of history, Penn State Hazleton
- Kevin Ressler, President and CEO, United Way Lancaster County; adjunct professor of church and social change, Lancaster Theological Seminary
Potential topics include defining "war" and "peace," the conditions that lead to war and the ethical issues that face Christians in the context of deadly political conflict. The discussion will be moderated by the Rev. Liz Fulmer and uploaded to the church's YouTube channel.
