Organizers are anticipating an enthusiastic turnout this Sunday for Open Streets Lancaster.

Running from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the annual street fair will close Water Street to vehicle traffic between Walnut and Conestoga streets, creating a pedestrian mall for music performances, children’s games and activities, art projects and more.

The street will be lined with more than 100 booths sponsored by nonprofits, vendors and other organizations.

Sponsored by the Lancaster Recreation Commission in partnership with the City of Lancaster and Lancaster Bikes, Open Streets is a family-friendly event that aims to promote community interaction and physical activity and promote a vision of a less car-dependent way of life.
