“Expanding the Scope of Wellness” is the title of the August edition of United Way of Lancaster County’s monthly “Conversation About OUR Community.”

The free Zoom forum will take place from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 30. United Way will invite the audience to reconsider the definition of “wellness” by learning about local wellness programs and resources as well as factors affecting community wellbeing.

The event will kick off with a presentation on Lancaster’s health and wellness statistics by Jackie Concepcion, vice president of operations, Union Community Care.

That will be followed by a panel discussion with Concepcion and other local wellness experts, including:

  • Dr. Cherise Hamblin: Founder, Patients R Waiting; obstetrician-gynecologist, Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health;
  • Dr. Latinia Shell, MED: licensed professional counselor; owner, Diversity Works
  • The Rev. Mandy Mastros: pastor, Moravian Center of Lancaster

Kevin Ressler, president & CEO of United Way of Lancaster County, will moderate the conversation.
