Lancaster County’s Women United welcomes new chair, vice chair

United Way of Lancaster County is pleased to announce the recent election of two officers in the Women Women United affinity group, Jennifer Lauver as Chair and Kay Burky as Vice Chair.

Both Lauver and Burky bring a wide variety of professional and business experience to their new roles, which are elected in three-year terms.

Jennifer Lauver

Jennifer Lauver, CPA, has 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. She started her career in public accounting with KPMG LLP, where she spent 10 years performing external audits for various financial services clients.

She started with Fulton Financial Corp. in 2012 in the Internal Audit Services department and assumed the role of Chief Audit Executive in 2016.

Lauver earned her B.S. in Accounting from Bloomsburg University. She is currently the President of the ABWA (American Business Women’s Association) Penn Square Chapter, Treasurer of the Lancaster Conservancy Board, and Treasurer of the Lancaster Safety Coalition Board. She is also a member of several professional organizations, including the IIA (Institute of Internal Auditors), the PICPA (Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Professional Accountants) and the AICPA (American Institute of Certified Professional Accountants).

Kay Burky

Kay Burky is a senior human resources professional with over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. She retired from Fulton Bank in 2021, holding leadership positions in learning and development and more recently in change management.

Burky earned her B.S in Applied Psychology from Albright College and a M.S. in Human Resources Development from Villanova University, as well as two HR certifications, SPHR and SHRM-SCP. She is also a member of several professional organizations, including SHRM and ATD.

Burky teaches undergraduate courses at Penn State University-Berks Campus in the organizational leadership baccalaureate degree program.
