Penn State Health has revised its patient visitation guidelines due to the omicron-driven surge in the Covid-19 pandemic.
Under the new rules, adult patients may have one visitor per day, while pediatric patients may have two.
Visitors will be screened and must wear a "medical-grade" mask, such as a surgical or N95 mask at all times. Penn State Health will provide masks to visitors who arrive without one.
Penn State Health's facilities in the area include its flagship complex in Hershey and a variety of outpatient sites. The health system is building a hospital in East Hempfield Township, slated to open this fall.
