Kyonna Bowman is leaving her role as executive director of The Mix, the nonprofit announced.
Bowman’s last day will be Nov. 1, the organization said on social media.
“While we will deeply miss her leadership, we are excited to see her embrace new challenges and continue making an impact throughout Lancaster County and beyond,” The Mix said in a statement.
In an email, Bowman said she has accepted the position of director of operations at Journey Church in Ronks.
The Mix has named Marisol Santos, director of student and family engagement, as interim executive director.
Bowman joined The Mix, known then as “The Mix at Arbor Place,” as program director in February 2016. She became assistant executive director in 2018 and was named executive director in mid-2019.
The Mix is a nondenominational faith-based center serving young people and their families. Its activities include after-school programs, summer programs and internships.
Founded in 1984, it is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. It is marking the milestone with a gala on Thursday, Oct. 17, at the Lancaster Marriott at Penn Square.
