Arch Street Center has named Ed McManama its new executive director.
McManama, 56, comes to Arch Street from River Rock Academy, an alternative school with nine campuses in central Pennsylvania, where he was chief operating officer. Prior to that, he served three decades as principal at Central York Middle School.
Arch Street Center is a membership-based day center in Lancaster city for adults with serious mental illness.
McManama started his new job on Monday. He said the past week has been one of the highlights of his life and that he could not be more impressed with the nonprofit’s members, staff, volunteers and supporters.
“I’m on Cloud 9,” he told One United Lancaster.
McManama succeeds Susan Lilly, who announced in April that she was stepping down to pursue other opportunities.
