• Clay Street Shelter Fully operational: After some minor service delays the Clay Street shelter is officially operational and opening its doors an hour early this week to individuals seeking warmth, during the code blue. ( Source: Fox 43 )

• Shapiro and Fetterman weigh in on Trumps Jan. 6 pardons: Pa. Gov. Josh Shapiro explains that it is troubling that Presidents Trump pardoned people who attacked police officers and destroyed pieces of the capital. Fetterman said he disagrees with some of Trumps pardons and some of Bidens. ( Source: ABC 27 )

• Pa. attorney general office takes over investigation of voter fraud: Tuesday, officials confirmed, the attorney generals office has taken over the investigation of alleged fraudulent voter registration applications submitted in several counties ahead of the 2024 presidential election. Brett Hambright, a spokesman for the attorney general’s office, said Lancaster joins Berks and York counties in handling the case over to the attorney general. ( Source: LNP )

• Bird Flu outbreak in Lehigh Valley: Last week, The Fish and Game commission collected sick geese, removed carcasses, and found an estimated 5,000 dead snow geese at the Northhampton County site. Spokesman, Travis Lau said  the presence of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) has since been confirmed among several hundred dead geese found in late December. The spread of the virus among these wild birds and and geese has the commission on alert. ( Source: Capital Star )
