• Black Knights Tavern set to become apartments: Monday, East Hempfield Township zoners, approved developers, Kevin Boland and his nephew Zainul Dawood, request to build apartments on the property that was formerly the restaurant Black Knights Tavern & Grill. In 2021, an accidental electric fire caused $1 million in damages. Former Owner Glen Eshelman withdrew from trying to get the location back together. Boland, who won the property for $835,000. • Camp School district host volunteer fair for MLK Jr. Day: Monday, Camp Hill High School held a volunteer fair in the cafeteria. The school district’s community advisory committee for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion teamed up with the Camp Hill Borough, to provide activities and opportunities for people. • Lancaster County officials react to Trump’s inauguration speech: Lancaster County elected officials and political observers explained that Trumps speech stuck to the topics that won him the White House in November immigration, inflation and an America-first trade and foreign policy. For his supports, the speech detailed a vision for remaking American governance and the country’s role in the world. For others, the speech was darker and  more divisive than past presidents’ inaugural speeches. ( Source: LNP )

• Albright College facing a $20 million deficit: Albright College has been facing significant financial struggles, including a $20 million dollar deficit. To address this issue they cut 53 positions, canceled some academic majors, and considered selling property and art.  The college sought out permission to borrow $25 million of its endowment fund, which came to a surprise for donors, as it would give the college unrestricted access to scholarship funds.
