• Bill to advance school bus safety laws approved by Senate committee: The Senate Transportation Committee unanimously approved a P.a bill that focuses on increasing school bus safety laws. The possible new legislation would require drivers to stop 15 ft away from a bus stop. (Source: CBS 21)

• Scanton’s new Chili’s will be ‘The Office’ themed: After nearly two decades since the workplace mockumentary “The Office” first set an episode inside a Chili’s, Scanton gets a new Chili’s. In 2005, there was no Chili’s in the city. The resrurant will open in Dickson City, about 6 miles north of Scranton. (Source: CBS 21)

• 59 LG Health employees revealed to be among Penn. Medicine job cuts: About 59 Lancaster General Health employees ranging from food service supervisors to executives appear to be among the job cuts announced by the University of Pennsylvania Health System on Tuesday. The statement made by the Health System explained that 300 positions were eliminated and over 100 of those positions were reportedly vacant or held by people who have announced their retirements. Documents acquired by LNP | LancasterOnline appear to identify the eliminated LG Health positions by department, job title and age of the person serving in the position. LG Health and Penn Medicine public relations personnel have not responded to requests for comment about the documents. (Source: LNP)

• Lancaster residents call for an independent review of city bicyclists arrest, creation of police advisory board: Lancaster city residents express that they want an independent review of the March 2 incident and a community police oversight board, Tuesday night at the City Council meeting. At a press conference last week Chief Richard Mendez announced that an internal investigation found the use of force to be within policy guidelines. Additionally, residents asked for access to past and present records on use of force investigations. City Council member Lochard Calixte was in support of the community review board. (Source: LNP)
