Trump asks Pa. House Speaker for help in overturning the state's election results: President Trump called Speaker Bryan Cutler twice in the last week to make an "extraordinary request" for Cutler, a Republican whose district is in southern Lancaster County, to reverse Pennsylvania's election results. This is the third state that Trump has tried to personally intervene in, following similar calls to Mich. and Ga. (Source: Washington Post)

Covid-19 death toll at The Gardens at Stevens reaches 30: As of Dec. 1, 65 out of 68 residents and 35 staff members at the nursing home tested positive for the virus. The Gardens has the third highest Covid-19 death count for county retirement homes as of Monday. Conestoga View in Lancaster Township has the most at 79, followed by Luther Acres in Lititz with 31. Pa. Senate Democrats unveil Covid-19 rescue plan: The "PA CARES Act" would spend $4 billion on unemployment relief, business assistance and other measures, funding it with a bond issue and the state's Rainy Day fund.
