Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health said Monday it will begin allowing limited visitation for Covid-19 inpatients.
The change was announced Monday morning and takes effect immediately. Visitation hours for Covid-19 patients are 3 to 7 p.m. Visitors must be fully vaccinated or have had coronavirus and recovered. They must wear hospital-approved personal protective equipment and may not visit areas other than their loved one's room.
Previously, no visitation was allowed for Covid-19 patients.
Additionally, LG Health's updated policy allows non-coronavirus inpatients to have two designated visitors, up from one; and reinstates permission for visits by members of the clergy.
