Lancaster’s recovery community will gather for a celebration of healing from addiction at Buchanan Park in Lancaster this Saturday, Sept. 17.
Sponsored by the Lancaster County Recovery Alliance and The 521 Club, Recovery Day Lancaster | Recovery Rocks! will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Recovery Day, organizers say, “helps to normalize addiction recovery as a healthy and contributing factor towards a strong community.”
Events include:
- 10 a.m.: Opening ceremony
- 10:30 a.m.: 5K Run/Walk
- 11:30 to 1 p.m.: Lunch
Octavia Blues Band will be the featured Recovery Rocks! performer, beginning at 11:30 a.m. Other attractions include games, crafts, a children’s corner, massage and therapeutic movement.
Admission is free. Two lunch options are available: Belly’s BBQ or vegan fare from Root. The minimum donation for lunch is $5, but additional donations are welcome. For lunch tickets, click here.
