The Steinman Foundation plans to screen “Louder than Guns,” a music film about gun rights and gun safety in America, at Mickey’s Black Box on March 11. The film screening is a part of several events Steinman is hosting, that use music to bring the community together and facilitate conversations.

The documentary takes viewers on a journey through rural, urban and suburban America that, and according to the event flyer “seeks to humanize all sides of this country’s polarized gun debate through the convening power of music, civil discourse and finding unexpected common ground.”

The lead singer of Old Crow Medicine Show, Ketch Secor, radio journalist David Greene and filmmaker Doug Pray are working alongside the Steinman Foundation to bring “Louder than Guns” to the community.

The event will include a live performance and a conversation about gun rights and gun safety following the film. All ages are welcome to attend the screening, although it is advised that the topics being discussed may not be appropriate for young children.

Doors open at 6 p.m. and the show officially starts at 6:30 p.m. Tickets and more information about the screening can be found on Mickeys Black Box website.
