The city of Lancaster will hold its annual “Celebrate Lancaster” street fair from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. this Friday, Aug. 16.

It will feature music on two stages; two beer gardens; and an array of food trucks and local vendors along North Queen Street from Penn Square to Binns Park and Ewell Plaza. For a full schedule and list of vendors, visit the Celebrate Lancaster page at visitlancastercity.com.

To make way for the event, several downtown streets will be closed to vehicle traffic beginning at 7 a.m. Friday, with towing beginning at 6 a.m.

Besides North Queen Street between King and Chestnut streets, they include the first block of East Grant Street and the first block of Market Street and William Henry Place around Central Market. Streets will reopen after the festivities conclude.

Previously held the last Friday in June, on the eve of July 4, Celebrate Lancaster has been moved to August to allow for other celebrations in June, including Pride Month and Juneteenth, the city said.
