People interested in learning about the Rocky Springs Carousel will have a pair of opportunities to do so in coming days.

Eileen Gregg is the author of "Lancaster's Hidden Treasure: The Rocky Springs Dentzel Carousel." She has conducted extensive research on the historic hand-carved carousel, which has remained in storage for more than 20 years after being returned to Lancaster through the efforts of the Rocky Springs Carousel Association.

Gregg and her book will be featured a presentation and book signing at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Community Mennonite Church, 328 W. Orange St., Lancaster. It is free and no registration is required.

It will include a slide show, an update on the Rocky Springs Carousel Association's efforts to find a home for the attraction and comments from Dee Lynch, whose parents owned a Golden Age carousel that was disassembled and its pieces sold at auction.

The second event featuring Gregg is a lecture at the Lancaster Public Library, 125 N. Duke St., Lancaster. It will take place at 12 noon on Saturday, June 11. It is free, but space is limited to 40 people, so registration is required. To register, click here.
